About

The Richfield Historical Society, Inc. was formed in 1967 by the Minnesota Valley Women’s Club. The Society was formed in an effort to restore the General Riley Bartholomew home built in 1852 on the shores of Wood Lake. The farm house is located at 6901 Lyndale Avenue South in Richfield, Minnesota. The house has been restored to show life on a farm in the 1850’s. The Bartholomew House is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.

The Society meets on a regular basis for general meetings. Speakers generally focus on subjects of historic interest. A Board of Directors meets monthly to conduct the ongoing business of the Society.

The society is non-profit organization.

The Richfield History Center & Bartholomew House Museum are located at 6901 Lyndale Avenue South. across from Wood Lake Nature Center at 69th Street and Lyndale Avenue South.
